Neeraj Goswami
Born 1964 in Patna, Neeraj Goswami received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Delhi School of Art. Though known more for his paintings, Neeraj Goswami has also executed several murals and commissioned portraits. His oil reflects his facility with the medium that includes paintings in amazing tone of Celadon Porcelain and Onyx styrations and a peculiar luminosity. Through sheer haze his characters come alive in his imbued textural canvases. The technique of using oils to achieve a translucent luminosity is his forte that yields brilliance and vibrancy to his paintings. Neeraj has participated in several prestigious Art Camps, Groups Shows and solo exhibitions those in Paris, London and New York. He has many awards to his credit including the Bharat Bhavan Award at the Second Biennial of Contemporary Indian Art and the Latika Kala Research Grant Fellowship both in the same year. He has been proclaimed by critics, viewers and collectors and his work is held in numerous public and private collections in Indian and abroad. The Artist lives in Delhi and works from his studio in the city.
